Over the years this website lacked focus and switched tones quite often. I feel it never really reflected myself and my values but rather tried to be this thing which I could use to proof my worth with. "I do know computers and stuff because I have this blog and did these projects". This website should be my personal public home. A space where I do the things that I truly enjoy without any form of justification and obligation. My space.
However, I am not quite sure how such a personal space would look like. I do not have a clear concept on my mind of what it should be, and I am not able to exactly foresee when those changes will happen. It could be in a few days, months, or years down the line. All I know is that this website no longer reflects who I am and who I want to be and that it will change at some point in the future.
A few things already have changed though. I have removed the projects tab from this website and I have no intention of preserving it in any shape or form. It is gone forever. I have also removed the twitter link from the contacts page as I no longer have a personal twitter account. No one is interested in random 280 character ramblings of a white middle-aged man that holds no important public position. And if you are (hi friends), then I'd be happy to talk to you in private via email or over a good coffee face-to-face.
This will probably be my last blog post on this website. If my new website still contains a blog or journal in some way you might read from me again. But I doubt it will be in the same style as the previous posts.
